| We are licensed by the State, certified by Medicare and accredited by Joint Commission to provide skilled nursing and home health aide services, physical therapy, occupational theraphy, speech theraphy and medical social worker services.
Skilled Nursing Services
We maintain an adequate pool of registered nurses to perform the following tasks:
Provide care and treatments.
Develop physicians’ authorized plan of care.
Work to involve client and client's family in care planning
Coordinate other services of Samland Health Care
We also have home health aides who help with daily routines such as bathing and moving in and out of bed. They also ensure that clients take their proper medications at the proper times.
Therapy Services
Our comprehensive therapy programs are designed to achieve an independent, active and fulfilling lifestyle for our clients. Expert physicians assess the patients and work closely with our therapists in formulating appropriate treatments. They closely monitor and evaluate therapy programs to the well-being of our clients.
Physical Therapy – We have combined development programs and therapeutic treatments to achieve patients’ maximum level of function. Focus is on improving one’s strength, endurance and overall function mobility.
Occupational Therapy - Our occupational therapists help clients return to their daily routine. This involves providing instructions on self-care (i.e. dressing and bathing) and homemaking, among others, thus helping clients learn to live full with disability.
Speech Therapy – Our therapists work to overcome patients’ inability to perceive, comprehend and interpret information received. They help with speech and hearing problems such as those caused by stroke, and help clients with swallowing difficulties. They strive to enhance each patient’s ability to appropriately respond using sound, words, symbols or gestures.
Medical Social Worker Services
Personal and financial difficulties may occur as a result of illness or disability. When needed, we will assist with obtaining and determining medical coverage information for our clients. Our home health care services are often covered through Medicare, Medicaid, the Veterans Administration and various departments of the state government, some private insurance companies, and health maintenance organizations (HMOs).
In addition to addressing the physical aspects of health care, we provide on-going counseling of patients in order to meet their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs.
Our services have evolved through the years and we have been offering health care related services: home care, training programs and recruitment/job placement.
